New Energy-focused Powerway Group subsidiary Boviet Solar Technology Co., Ltd. (“Boviet Solar”) was established in Bắc Giang Province, Viet Nam in 2013 and has already become the largest photovoltaic products manufacturer in the country.

Scientific Achievements
New Materials

Through consistent, independent innovation, Powerway Alloy is well-known for cutting-edge new alloys and related materials. The company’s heft in scientific and technological innovation is evidenced by the successful application of its materials in the Shenzhou Spacecrafts Series 1-10, the Chang’e 1 and 2 Detectors, and the Tiangong-1 aircraft. With the development of patented, environment-friendly lead-free brass material - praised as “the very first in the world and internationally leading” - Powerway’s concern for nature and human health is undisputed.

In 2009 and 2011 respectively, Powerway Alloy successfully developed cost and resource-saving materials: high performance Cu-Ti-Zr-Zn, a copper alloy substitute; and an energy-saving, free-cut alloy material.

In 2015, Powerway Alloy created a high-performance copper alloy material for rail transit contact networks, making a proactive contribution to the development of the Chinese high-speed rail industry.

During the past years, Powerway Alloy has also developed more than 20 new alloy codes, 15 of them approved by relevant national authorities and included in the formulation and revision of the GB Chinese National Standards, accounting for 57% of the national total in that year, marking a positive contribution to the technological progress of alloy materials not only in China but also around the world.

Precision EDM Wires

During the period of 2008 to 2011, successfully developed electrode wires for corrosion machining by EDM, high-conductivity and high-toughness copper alloy composite wires, and received approval of two Chinese national invention patents. These achievements led the firm, in November, 2008 and May, 2011 respectively, to have projects approved as “National Torch Program of China” and “National Science and Technology Innovation Fund” and in November, 2011, to be granted the title of “National Hi-Tech Enterprise of China.”

In February, 2012 ,presided over drafting of “Brass Wires for Unidirectional Electrical-Discharge Machining YS/T 868-2013” since published on April 25, 2013 as a Chinese industry standard and implemented from September 1, 2013.

During 2013-2015, successfully developed KCF high-speed double-effect galvanized wire and KCS high-performance full-effect galvanized wire, subsequently obtaining two Chinese National invention patents and seeing these two items into production.

In June, 2015 ,successfully developed low-boron and low-oxygen cutting wire for unidirectional travelling cutting machines, obtained a patent in Germany.

In December, 2015, had its “National Torch Program of China” project initiated.

successfully developed KCP high-precision and high-efficiency galvanized wire in June 2016 and obtained a Chinese National invention patent for this product already in production.

German-Style Management

Powerway Group is a director company of The International Wrought Copper Council (IWCC) and member of IWCC Technical Committee as well as a representative in IWCC of the Chinese manufacturers of non-ferrous alloy bars, wires and strips. It is therefore one of the main companies influencing and contributing to the formulation and revision of GB Chinese National Standards and industry standards. To date this includes the formulation of 19 GB Chinese National Standards and 5 Chinese industry standards in non-ferrous alloy material bars and wires, consequently promoting the fast development of the relevant industry in China.
